“Originally we were going to do a little shindig in a pub. This seemed a safe option. - Euan.”

"2006 was very successful, with the help of other promoters and volunteers, we managed to organise and tag over 30 events which contributed to a national figure of 500,000 pounds. 2007 was even better, we raised nearly 4000 pounds in Northampton alone" – Vimal Shah, Oxjam Regional Co-ordinator 2007.

Vicky Hughes, organiser of 'Charity Rock Shop' said "Do it! My advice would be that planning your time is absolutely crucial to getting successful publicity, but all the effort is well worth it. I did a radio interview for the first time which turned out to be really easy. I just took a few notes with me and it was just like chatting to someone in a pub, I wasn’t nervous at all. I’ll definitely do an Oxjam event again I’ve had an amazing time!"
